If the others in you are dead, you are fighting with the dead

The ones you are fighting are also those parts of you,

But if those parts of you are dead,

Then you are fighting with the dead only.

This is the key insight.

If the others in me are dead in me,

All investment has been pulled out.

The world itself is dead to me,

Because I have no investment of my life-energy in it anymore.

So it is the dark night of love only.

When all desire/investment/promise in the world is pulled out.

Once you disconnect from your body and persona, the external world is finished too.

Whatever you detach from in yourself,
That part is detached from in all others too.
